Every crack and crevice of this home have a story to tell. Every piece of furniture and accessory in this home talks about a time and era that has passed. The first look at this place and we knew, that these marks, paint cracks, rickety windows and broken furniture hold fond memories and if this has stood the test of time, then we at CUBS felt why not reuse, repurpose and reimagine the space one crack at a time.

CUBS Design Chronicles
We had to discover the Wabi Sabi in this room. CUBS first identified those pieces and spaces in the room that may have first looked unsightly. But when we actually skimmed through every piece in detail, we slowly started to embrace those imperfections to make the most of what they already had.
- The old run down white cupboard got a fresh coat of white paint and was repurposed to provide the focal point in the room.
- We tried to keep the colour palette neutral and used a pale blue rug to pull all the existing furniture together
- The old cane two-seater was re-caned and upholstered green to give the necessary splash of colour to the room
- The book shelves on either side along with the re-caned two-seater provided that little cozy reading nook
- Interestingly we were actually able to pull out an old Van Gogh print and the 50+-year-old pendulum clock both of which found itself a space on the wall above the computer tables to complete an asymmetrical wall collage.
